19---------- FOUCAULT'S SLEEP (2005/2006)

Foucault's Sleep was a free distribution book produced simultaneously
for two group exhibitions: Un nuevo y Bravo Mundo, Alcala 31, Madrid
and ARS 06, Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki.

Foucault’s Sleep was a meditation on the uses and interpretations of
Michel Foucault’s legacy. It touched the issues of power and knowledge,
the orders of visibility and invisibility, territories, and the construction of
individual subjects in the societies of control. In a way, Foucault’s Sleep
charted a conceptual territory and rendered visible a current state of affairs
as we see it. At the same time, it was our homage to a master, and a
retrospective look at the presumptions we have worked upon for the last
eight years.
